Sigma Beta Chapter
The Sigma Beta Chapter was dually chartered (along with the Sigma Gamma Chapter) on April 18, 2009. The dual charter was a first in Northeast Regional history. The Chapter was chartered on a predominately white campus, mirroring the Alpha chapter charter, by five (5) young extraordinary women who dared to be different.
The Sigma Gamma chapter came to be after having a dual charter with the Sigma Beta Chapter at Quinnipiac University in 2009. Currently located on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University, the Sigma Gamma chapter was chartered by seven young women – Melissa Wilson, Karen Maignan, Lytasha Blackwell, Stephanie Guerrier, Tiana Lotta, Vanessa Salmon, and Widelyn Moise. Since its beginnings, the chapter has welcomed dozens of women into the fold.
The RHOyally Refined Rho Alpha chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated was chartered January 7, 2006 at the University of Bridgeport by five illustrious members named Simone Waugh, Fentyshia Daniels, Latoya Skerrette, Precious Obeng-addae, and Toyin Adesina. The chapter was reactivated on March 11, 2011, by six Bluetiful women named Ariana Horne, Elacia Hall, Anika Joseph, Janelle Samuel baker, Mieshia Liburd, and Fleur Achiepo.
